Single vs double slider: which should I choose?
Single sliders are more cost-effective and have slightly better air tightness. Double sliders offer better ventilation control and are easier to clean from inside.
Are sliders less efficient than casements?
Generally, casements seal tighter due to compression. However, modern high-performance sliders with quality weatherstripping still meet or exceed ENERGY STAR requirements.
Can I get a slider window for a large opening?
Yes! For openings wider than 6 feet, we recommend a 3-lite (XOX) configuration, which provides a large central view with ventilation on the sides.
