Definitions
Service

Automated Decision Making: We do not currently use automated decision-making processes (processing Personal Data without human intervention) that would produce legal or similarly significant effects on you. If this changes, we will notify you and provide relevant information as required by law.
Your Rights
Under certain circumstances and subject to applicable data protection laws (including Quebec's Law 25 and PIPEDA), you have rights regarding your Personal Data:

- Erasure / De-indexing: The right to request that we cease disseminating your personal information or de-index any hyperlink attached to your name that provides access to information by a technological means, if specific legal criteria are met.
- Portability: The right to receive a computerized, structured copy of your Personal Data (effective September 2024, subject to technical feasibility).

When We May Act Without Consent

Breach Notification: In the event of a confidentiality incident involving Personal Data that presents a risk of serious injury, we will promptly notify the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec and any affected individuals as required by Law 25.

Service Providers & Analytics
We may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate the Service ("Service Providers"), provide the Service on our behalf, perform Service-related services, or assist us in analyzing how the Service is used. These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of the Service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network. Behavioral Remarketing
Aurora Direct Inc. uses remarketing services to advertise on third-party websites to you after you visited the Service. We and our third-party vendors use cookies to inform, optimize, and serve ads based on your past visits to the Service.
Google Ads (AdWords): Google Ads (AdWords) remarketing service is provided by Google Inc. You can opt out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customize Google Display Network ads by visiting your Google Ads Settings. Employment Applications
Personal Data provided when you apply for a role with Aurora Direct Inc. is used for recruitment, hiring, and professional development purposes, or to inform you about suitable opportunities. Except as permitted by law, we will not use this information for other purposes without your consent.
Links to Other Sites
Our Service may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you click a third-party link, you will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policy of every site you visit. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
Data Retention
We retain Personal Data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. When Personal Data is no longer needed, we will securely destroy, delete, or anonymize it. We implement and maintain retention, storage, and destruction practices designed to prevent unauthorized access.
Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 ("Children"). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18.
