Warranty Transferability

Some manufacturer warranties are transferable to new homeowners. Terms vary by brand.

Registration Example

Vinylbilt requires warranty registration within 30 days of installation and online notice within 30 days to transfer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is condensation covered under warranty?

Interior condensation on room-side surfaces relates to indoor humidity and ventilation-not covered. However, IGU seal failure (fogging between panes) may be covered under the manufacturer's insulating glass warranty.

Can I transfer the warranty to a new buyer?

Many manufacturer warranties are transferable, but requirements vary. Some brands require registration within 30 days of installation and notification when transferring. Check your specific manufacturer documentation for details.

What if I'm not sure if my issue is covered?

Submit a service request with photos and details. We'll triage the issue and let you know if it's covered under manufacturer warranty, labour warranty, or if it's a billable service call.

How long does it take to get warranty service?
