Homeowner Prep

Pre-Install Checklist

Prepare your home so installation goes smoothly and safely. Follow this checklist to ensure everything is ready for your installation day.

1. Access & Space

Create a safe working environment for our installation crew

Clear 3–6 ft around each opening (inside and outside if applicable)
Move furniture, decor, and fragile items away from work areas
Provide driveway/parking access for crew and materials

2. Pets, Alarms & Permissions

Manage safety and access requirements

Secure pets in a separate room or offsite during work hours
Disarm or bypass window/door sensors and alarms
For condos/strata: arrange elevator bookings and approvals

3. Interior Protection

Protect your belongings and prepare the work area

Remove window coverings (blinds/curtains) and hardware
Take down wall hangings near openings to avoid vibration damage
Have drop cloths ready if requested; crews will bring floor protection

4. Day-Of Communication

Coordinate with the installation crew

Confirm start time and site contact
Walk the crew through any special notes (access, children/pets, finishes)
Post-Install

After Installation

Review operation of windows/doors with the crew
Confirm cleanup, disposal, and next steps for any touch-ups

Pro Tip

Complete this checklist 24-48 hours before installation day. If you have questions or need help with any items, contact your project coordinator.
